Symptoms or Signs of Hair Loss

Nowadays almost everyone is troubled with hair fall or hair loss. Earlier hair loss was mainly associated with older generation but the situation has changed completely today as almost everyone is suffering through baldness, hair loss and hair thinning and no one can be blamed for that. Ample of people are getting affected by hair loss due to which several treatments for hair loss are available in market today. Many women who are pregnant are going through symptoms of hair loss popularly known as postpartum hair loss. For men symptoms of hair loss may be minor lessening of follicles or other symptom includes leading to baldness.

Hair loss can happen as lessening in which hair falling out or shedding may not be noticed and hair will fall out in clumps. The kinds of situations which may lead to hair loss comprises of poor diet, hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, several medical conditions and surgery and mainly due to disease of thyroid. The signs of baldness in men can take place very early, also in teens and in early 20s. It is normally illustrated by a thinning hairline and balding at peak of head. This may result into Permanent or Temporary hair loss.

Permanent Hair Loss:

  • Male Pattern Baldness (Androgenetic Alopecia): Men hair loss also known male pattern baldness is the most common type of hair loss and is also termed as Androgenetic Alopecia. In today’s world more  the 90% of men suffer from male pattern baldness by the time they reaches their 50s and from which more than twenty five percent  start suffering  through this painful process before even reaching the age of twenty-one. The result may be partial or complete baldness.

  • Female-Pattern Baldness (Androgenetic Alopecia): Female Hair Loss is also known as Female Pattern Baldness. These type of Hair Loss are generally causes thinning of hair at the front and side and may cause complete baldness in extreme cases

  • Cicatricial (scarring) alopecia: Biased or complete hair loss is known as alopecia these type of Hair loss are generally caused in extreme cases.Itching or irritated scalp infections and patchy loss of hair are the main symptoms of alopecia

Temporary Hair Loss:

  • Alopecia areata: When hair loss is in minute patches it is a sign of person suffering from Alopecia Areata When the hair loss occurs in piercingly definite areas normally involving the beard or scalp you may suffer from this disease. In extreme cases this problem may occur in the whole body causing a rare disease known as alopecia universalis and when this disease occur over the whole scalp then it is known as alopecia totalis.

  • Telogen effluvium: This is another type of temporary hair loss in which handful amount of hair may come out on washing or combing. This disease just leads to overall thinning of hair.

  • Traction alopecia: Because of pull of hair caused by wearing pigtail or using tight hair rollers, a type of hair loss called traction alopecia starts. When this pulling of hair is stopped, hair again starts growing.

Many conditions of scalp for example as itchy or irritated scalp infections and loss of hair can curtail from sources which are linked. Biased or complete hair loss is known as alopecia. Hair loss typically develops slowly and may be irregular or disperse. It has been commented by Dermatologists that hair loss from scalp seems to aggravate more agony than several brutal skin conditions. One of the sign of hair loss in men is baldness. Few people favor to allow their baldness sprint its course leaving it unhidden and untreated. While other may hide it up with makeup, hairstyles, scarves or hats.
Other probable causes of hair loss are follicular deterioration, zinc or iron deficiency, steroids, medicines, chemotherapy, thyroid disease or due to stress.

 Thus, there are several symptoms or signs for hair loss which can be cured by taking proper and appropriate medical solutions.
